Microsoft updated its usage-based billing documentation for Copilot Studio.
Copilot Credits can be used for:
- Model tokens
- Tools
- Knowledge sources
- MCP
- And the execution framework (harness) itself.
An especially important point: in some cases billing can begin during:
- Creation
- Preview
- Testing
- Evaluation
Rather than only after the agent or app is published to production.
Usage can be checked through Monitor and the Power Platform administration center.
