Gemini within Google Docs can now use an existing Gemini Notebook as a source. Users can direct Gemini to the notebook, ask it to draft text based on its materials and receive citations within the document.
The capability is available to eligible users and requires Gemini for Workspace access in Drive, with Smart Features enabled according to account settings.
The update shortens the transition from research to writing: rather than manually copying notebook sources into a document, the same source base can be used directly from Docs.
