ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini can perform many of the same tasks, but are built around different systems and offer different plans, integrations and tools.
A useful comparison should therefore start not with "Which is best?", but with what you actually need to do: write, research, work with files, use AI within Google or Microsoft, code, work in Hebrew or connect company data.

Personal plan pricing
All three services offer free usage alongside paid plans.
ChatGPT Plus costs 20 dollars per month. OpenAI API usage is billed separately.
Claude Pro costs 20 dollars with monthly billing, or 200 dollars per year paid upfront, averaging about 17 dollars per month.
Google AI Pro, which includes broader access to Gemini and other Google AI capabilities, is listed at 19.99 dollars per month. Google also offers other plans, so compare the plan itself rather than just the product name.
In practice, the price gap between basic premium plans is small. The more important difference is what you receive within the work environment you already use.
Hebrew and availability in Israel
ChatGPT
OpenAI includes Israel in its list of countries where ChatGPT is supported on the web and mobile.
However, as of the verification date, Hebrew does not appear in ChatGPT's official interface language list. Interface language and the model's quality of work in Hebrew are separate questions, so test Hebrew writing, documents, voice and transcription separately.
Claude
Anthropic includes Israel in its list of countries where Claude can be accessed.
The official sources checked did not contain a separate support table defining full Hebrew support across all Claude components. If Hebrew is a central requirement, test the specific scenario before deciding.
Gemini
Google lists Hebrew as a supported language in the Gemini web and mobile apps, and Israel appears in the supported country lists.
On Android, Google notes that some "Hey Google" commands and Gemini actions are not supported in Hebrew. Google AI Pro is also available in Israel.
Google's official documentation is more explicit about Hebrew, but support still varies by component, so do not assume every capability works identically.
Working with documents and files
All three services support working with files, but the surrounding work environment differs.
ChatGPT Plus includes file uploads and analysis alongside tools such as search, Deep Research, voice and image generation, depending on account availability.
Claude supports working with files, creating and editing files through code execution, web search and Memory. Pro also includes Research, Projects, Claude Code and creative tools such as Claude Design, Slides and Docs.
Gemini connects directly to Google's ecosystem. Google AI Pro includes broader access to the Gemini app and AI capabilities within Gmail, Docs, Vids and other products, alongside Gemini Notebook.
If most of your material is already in a particular environment, integration may matter more than a small difference between the models themselves.
Search and research
All three products now include capabilities that retrieve online information or support research.
Checking whether "search" exists is not enough. Check how the tool presents sources, whether it points to the specific claim it relied on, how easy it is to open and verify the source, and what happens when sources conflict.
For important research, do not settle for the model's summary. Open the sources and check the original claim.
Coding
Claude Pro includes Claude Code as part of the plan.
ChatGPT and Gemini also offer coding capabilities and development tools, but access and the plans including them change over time.
Developers should therefore compare them on a real code repository or task: understanding existing code, writing a change, running tests, handling an error and working with tools already in the development process.
Integrations and work environment
ChatGPT operates as a standalone AI environment and connects to additional services through apps and connected tools.
Claude Pro currently includes connections to Chrome and Microsoft 365, alongside Claude Code and tools within Claude.
For people already doing most of their work in Gmail, Docs and other Google services, Gemini's integration with Google products may reduce manual switching between tools.
There is no universal advantage here. Your work environment determines how significant each connection will be.
Voice, images and media
ChatGPT Plus includes voice conversations and image generation.
Gemini is part of a broader collection of Google media creation tools, and paid plans include broader access to some of them.
Claude includes Voice Mode. Anthropic's pricing page also emphasizes files, code, Research, Projects and tools for creating documents and presentations.
If voice or media creation is central to your work, test the specific capability rather than just the subscription name.
How to choose in practice
Even with a detailed comparison, the best way to determine which service suits you is to use real tasks.
Choose three to five tasks you perform repeatedly.
Run the same scenario in each tool with the same files and requirements, and check:
- How good the result is before editing
- How long it takes to reach a useful result
- Whether the sources can be checked
- How the tool works in Hebrew
- Which integrations save manual work
- Which usage limits appear in actual use
- What will happen if you need to switch tools later
If you are still trying to understand which criteria matter to you, read the guide to choosing an AI tool for work.
The bottom line
There is no need to choose one "winner" for every task.
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini overlap in many capabilities but differ in the surrounding offering: plans, work tools, connections, product ecosystem and documented Hebrew support.
For an Israeli user, the right way to choose is to test their actual tasks rather than rely on an overall ranking or a single benchmark.
