Meta launches Meta One: new AI subscriptions for Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook

Meta is making Meta AI part of a broader subscription offering in its apps, with plans for consumers, creators and businesses.

Meta is launching a new subscription offering called Meta One, connecting its services (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI) with increased AI tool use and additional features.

The move makes Meta a more significant player in paid AI subscriptions.

Until now, users wanting to pay for AI tools mainly thought of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other dedicated services.

Meta wants to offer an alternative already inside the apps billions of people use.

What Meta One includes

Meta One is not a single subscription.

It is a family of plans for consumers, creators and businesses.

According to Meta, the plans include increased use of:

  • Meta AI
  • Image generation
  • Image editing
  • Video generation
  • Instagram Restyle
  • Additional creative tools

Some business plans also include Meta Business Agent access.

The prices Meta published

Published dollar prices are:

  • WhatsApp Plus: 2.99 dollars per month
  • Instagram Plus: 3.99 dollars per month
  • Facebook Plus: 3.99 dollars per month
  • Meta One Core: 7.99 dollars per month
  • Meta One Premium: 19.99 dollars per month
  • Essential for creators and businesses: from 14.99 dollars per month
  • Advanced: from 49.99 dollars per month
  • Expert: from 149 dollars per month
  • Max: from 499 dollars per month

Important: these are dollar list prices.

Meta notes that prices, plans, features and availability can vary by country, app and account.

What do you actually get?

The most important point is that Meta One plans are not simply "paid Meta AI".

Meta is trying to connect AI with its social and business products.

For ordinary users, this may mean more content creation.

For creators, it may mean deeper Instagram integration.

For businesses, the potential value lies in tools connecting to the communication and advertising channels already operating within Meta.

Do not confuse "more use" with "unlimited"

Meta presents paid plans as offering increased usage.

But the official announcement did not publish full numerical quotas for every tool and plan.

Do not therefore describe Meta One Premium or another plan as "unlimited".

Until clear numbers are available, the accurate description is increased use relative to other plans.

Is Meta AI still free?

Yes.

Meta continues offering the basic Meta AI experience free of charge.

Meta One adds paid layers above the free experience.

What about Israel?

Meta describes Meta One as globally available.

At the same time, the company notes that availability can vary by region, app and account.

AI24 has not verified at this stage:

  • Shekel pricing
  • Availability of all plans on an Israeli account
  • VAT additions
  • Availability of all video capabilities
  • Meta Business Agent availability in Israel

Do not therefore convert the prices into Israeli subscription fees as though already verified.

Meta's advantage

Meta has an advantage most AI companies lack.

It does not need to persuade people to install a new app.

Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook are already on users' devices.

If the company succeeds in making AI capabilities a feature people pay for inside existing apps, it can build a subscription model different from ChatGPT or Claude.

Who should pay particular attention?

Content creators.

Social media managers.

Small businesses.

Advertisers.

Users already working daily inside Instagram and WhatsApp.

For them, the question will not necessarily be "which AI model is smarter?"

The question may be:

Which subscription saves me from switching between tools?

What Meta has not yet published

The biggest current omission is exact usage quotas.

It is unclear how many image generations, edits, videos or AI actions each plan provides.

Israeli prices and availability also require practical checking from a local account.
