Google began an early rollout of Call for Me, a capability letting Gemini make routine business calls for eligible Pixel 11 users in the United States.
In Early Preview, Gemini can introduce itself, navigate automated phone systems, wait on hold and speak with a representative to check product availability, obtain business information or book, confirm and change appointments and reservations. The call uses the user's phone number, and a live transcript lets them follow or take over.
Before the call, Gemini asks the user to approve the information it intends to share. According to Google, it should not share sensitive information such as credit card numbers, passwords or medical information.
The preview requires Pixel 11, a US SIM, an adult user, a paid Gemini subscription and enrollment in the Phone by Google public beta.
