GitHub is testing an experimental option called HydraFusion in Copilot CLI.
The system performs semantic routing between local models, cloud models and more complex workflows.
According to GitHub, selection uses a combination of:
- Performance
- Cost
- Latency
The capability is marked experimental and accessible through /experimental.
This does not mean the routing mechanism will necessarily become the default.
